• Solid has a definite shape and volume. It also has particles that are packed closely together.
• Liquid has a definite volume but doesn't have a definite shape. It also has particles that can move.
• Gas - has no definite shape nor volume. It also has particles that are widely seperated.
• Plasma - a superheated matter that has no definite shape and volume. It also has particles that are widely seperated.
