• Lacks ecological validity - uses tasks that have little in common in natural everyday experiences

  Unlikely to generalise their findings into real-life situations
• Fails to include biological factors - hormones, neurochemistry and genetics
• Machine reductionism - reduces human personality and behaviour to the level of a computer
• Largely ignore emotions and motivation
