• Diffusion in animals

  -net movement of particles from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration until it is the same

  -higher concentration of oxygen and digested food diffuse from a capillary to a tissue 

  -waste substances and carbon dioxide diffuse from a tissue to a capillary 
• Diffusion in plants

  -higher concentration of oxygen in the leaf than the surrounding. Oxygen will move into the surroundings by diffusion 

  -higher concentration of carbon dioxide in the surrounding than in the leaf. Carbon dioxide will move into the leaf by diffusion
