• MENU COMMANDS - the way in which actions can be performed.

  
  

  DIALOG BOXES - window that allows the user to enter data and interact with the spreadsheet.
• MENU BAR - when you click on one of the names in this bar, a drop-down menu appears.

  NAME BOX- this area tells you the address of the active cell, or if you have named the cell or range, the name of the active cell or range.
• FORMULA BOX - this area displays the contents of the active cells.

  ROW HEADERS - click on one of these to select the entire row.
• STATUS BAR - information about the currently highlighted command or tool bar button.

   

  MOUSE POINTER - standard appearance ofthe point is shown here, but it can take many other shapes.
• when you type something into the active cell or edit, it's contents these two button appear.
