Batch production is when a limited number of identical products are produced ie. bread.
Mass production is when large amounts of standardised products are produced.
Flow production is a continuous production process of manufacturing products that are standardised in large quantities. It has less workers than mass production as it is more automated and lines often run 24/7.
Mass customisation is the production of large quantities of goods via batch or mass/flow production where products can be easily customised to the customer's preference ie. car customisation or name coke cans.
Labour-intensive production uses more labor than other production methods ie. healthcare and education.
Capital-intensive production have a higher proportion of capital costs compared to labour costs ie. car manufacturing.
