    • Sporophyte consists of a foot, which is anchored in the gametophyte, and a seta which has a sporangium.
    • Sporangium forms & stores spores.
    • Sporangium dries out and releases spores. (Dependant on dry weather)
    • Spores are dispersed by the wind & germinate in damp soil.
    • Spore production is asexual.
    • Dependant on water for reproduction.
