Sensory neurons

• These neurons take sensory information from the environment (i.e. getting poked with a needle) and sends the signal to the brain 
• Transmit sensory information (sight, sound, feeling, hearing, taste) 
• Activated by sensory input, and send messages to the nervous system, conveying sensory information to the brain or spinal cords
