• There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis
• Scientists have no way of curing genetic disorders

  Condition that requires two recessive alleles to be expressed
• Dominant phenotype


  Condition that can be expressed with just one dominant allele
• A couple can have a baby with sickle cell anemia caused by a recessive allele even if neither parent shows signs of the disorder
