    • Limitation of all - many of these studies are artificial and meaningless e.g. Baddeley. Do not reflect how memory works in everyday life therefore lacks mundane realism / ecological validity.
    • Limitation of Peterson - lacks internal validity because participants had task interference so maybe Peterson was testing capacity of STM instead.
    • Limitation of Jacob - study was conducted 1887 so lacks temporal validity as study may not have been conducted under scientific standards.
