  • Tourism Services and Regional Offices Sector - This sector also supervises DOT's regional operations establish to implement the policies, plans, programs, and regulations of the department, and to maintain the delivery of efficient and effective frontline services for the tourism industry.
  • Planning, Product Development, and Coordination - The sector monitors the effective implementation of the tourist master plan and, in coordination with the private sector and other government institutions, develops and conceptualize new products and investement opportunities designed to enchance tourist sites and facilities.
  • Internal Services Sector - This sector ensures the smooth and legal functioning of the operations of the department through the provision of effective and efficient advice and services in the areas of personnel management, human resources development, general services administration, computerization, and information technology services, budgetary, financial and management services, and investigatory and advisory services.
  • LGU - Local Government Unit
  • Local Government Unit - In the Philippines refer to the various administrative divisions that provide local governance. They are structured to enable local autonomy and are responsible for delivering a range of public services to their constituents.
  • Responsibilities of LGU: They act as a bridge between national tourism policies and local implementation, ensuring that the tourism industry thrives at both local and national levels.

  • Policy Implementation and Regulation - LGU's help implement national tourism policies at the local level, ensuring that these policies are tailored to fit local contexts and needs.
  • Section 5: Creation of Tourism and Promotions Department:
    Department Head - Admin and Accreditation - Special Events, VIP Services, Marketing and Promotions, Parks, Museum, Convention Center, and Seminars and Convention
  • Section 7: Creation of the Baranggay Commitee on Tourism:

  • Tourism Planning and Development - LGU's are involved in the planning and development of local tourism infrastructures (Roads, Parks, and Cultural Sites). They identify and develop local tourist attractions, working to enchance and preserve these sites to attract more visitors.
  • Promotion and Marketing - LGU's actively promote their local tourism destinations through marketing campaigns, participation in tourism fairs, and collaboration with travel agencies.
