Sports officiating

• Sports officials must be knowledgeable about the specific sport they are officiating.
• Line Judge / linesman - makes a call if there are faults regarding to boundary line
• Scorer - keeping track of the points
• Referee / umpire - overseas that the game is played according to the rules
• Table officials - records the line up ( players)
• Punctuality - must arrive earlier
• Be in proper attire - dark pants white shirt rubber shoes
• Be ready with personal equipment - whistle and stopwatch
• Has an updated rulebook - accessible for quick reference if needed
• Know your rule - Know your rules and regulations before you start your business.
• Firm and decisive - referee decision is final
• Shows complete control and authority - must not give in
