    • "O valiant cousin! worthy gentleman!" - Lady Macbeth
    • Lady Macbeth is more ruthless and ambitious than Macbeth As soon as an opportunity to gain power presents itself, she has a plan in mind.
    • For a while she is able to suppress her actions but eventually she becomes unable to deal with the guilt of what she has done
    • After the murder, however, Macbeth begins to feel increasingly paranoid and starts to see visions of blood on his hands which makes him question whether or not he was right to kill Duncan. This shows how much influence Lady Macbeth has over him and how easily she can persuade him to do something against his will.
    • She is also very manipulative towards Macbeth, using his love for her to get him to do things that he would not normally consider doing.
