SK1 = Article87 used to pass Stolypin’s landreforms when the Duma wasn’t in session even though the Dumas opposed them
SK2 = Nicholas and Stolypin ordered its dissolution and Social Democrat deputies were immediately arrested and exiled despite supposed to have immunity
CSK = Most representative Duma - included SRs, Mensheviks, and Bolsheviks
CONSENSUS = As this Duma was so short (lasting only from February to June 1907) and their authority was so frequently undermined this representation was effectively meaningless as it had no reflection in gov policy
3rd Duma
SK1 = Rigged voting meant only gentry and upper classes were elected - ‘DumaofLordsandLackeys’
SK2 = Little actual democracy - only 1/6 of men had the right to vote
CSK = Had an active role in government - passed 2,200 out of 2,500 gov bills
4th Duma
SK1 = Kokovstov the new Chief Minister after Stolypin’s assassination largely ignored the Duma even saying “Thank God we still have no parliament”
SK2 = Left wing groups ignored Duma seeing them as irrelevant and instead resorted to strikes and direct action
