Positivist methods

• positivists prefer using quantitative data and objective research methods such as closed questionnaires, structured interviews and experiments
• By using quantitative data, positivist believe that they are able to u cover cause and effect that determine human behaviour
• Quantitative- the process of collecting and analysing numerical data
• Non-participant observation- observing participants without actively participating
• Positivists either use lab or controlled experiments
