• Common causes of sinusitis are cigarette smoking and allergic rhinitis.
• The drug of choice to relieve pain in sinusitis is Codeine.
• Codeine causes drowsiness and constipation.
• ASA increases risk of nasal polyps in clients with sinusitis.
• Caldwell-Luc surgery

  Done in maxillary sinuses (chronic). The incision is between upper gum and upper lip. Post op NI - prevent trauma to the incision.
