No mitochondria (where respiration takes place) or chloroplasts (where photosynthesis takes place). Single DNA loop as they dont have a nucleus. (found in the cytoplasm which is wateryjelly that fills the cell). Some contain plasmids (small rings of DNA). They can replicate and move between cells so genetic info can be shared.
