Annotating

• The four things you should write about when you're annotating is:

  1. Function
  2. Ergonomics
  3. Aesthetic
  4. Performance
• Function includes what the product does. This could be its primary or secondary function
• Performance includes how well the product performs. This includes materials, construction etc.
• Aesthetics includes how the production looks for example:

  • colour
  • shape
  • contrast
  • harmony
  • proportion
• Ergonomics includes how the product is designed for the person using it. This could be the use of body size, ease of use, ease of understanding etc.
