Animal cell structure and their functions

• Cytoplasm- where chemical reactions take place, where most of the cell's organelles are found.
• Nucleus- contains genetic material and controls the activities of the cell.
• Cell membrane- controls what goes in and out of the cell.
• Mitochondria- where aerobic respiration takes place and where most energy is released.
• Ribosomes- Site of protein synthesis in the cell.
