  ● Extends from the cervix to the body exterior and serves as a passageway for

  ➔ Menstrual flow

  ● Female organ of copulation that receives the penis (and semen) during sexual intercourse

  ● Hymen

  ➔ Thin fold of mucosa that partially closes the distal end of the vagina

  ➔ A sign of “virginity”

  ➔ Because it is vascular, it bleeds during the first sexual intercourse

  ➢ However, its durability varies among women
