  • process = role model -> identification -> observation -> vicarious reinforcement -> imitation -> direct reinforcement -> internalisation
  • Criticisms:
    • focuses too much on nurture and ignores nature
    • if criminal behaviour is imitated, where did it originate from
    • attempts to control criminal behaviour haven't been successful in stopping rise of crime
