  •encoding- how info is stored eg pics=visual, sounds=acoustic, meaning=semantic

  •storage -maintaining and holding the info

  •retrieval-remembering and extracting
• Models of memory

  •Capacity - how much info can be held in our memory

  •encoding - how info is changed so can be stored in memory

  •duration - how long info lasts before it’s no longer available
