Some wars are fought over territory, eg Russian leader Vladimir Putin believes that Ukraine is part of Russia. Religion can be a factor in wars, for example Jews, Muslims and Christians all regard Jerusalem as a holy city and have fought over it. In reality, most wars, including the ones mentioned above, are fought for many reasons, not just one.
