Class differences

• Same black Americans emerged into better well off class and became socially detached from their fellow blacks
• They moved away from inner city ghetto like areas, leaving poor, uneducated black people behind
• better off blacks avoided crime, unemployment and urban chaos , but their departure deprived inner city areas of leadership
