  2. C - CCT (Controlled Cord Traction)
  3. U - Uterine Massage is recommended 
• Active Management of Third Stage Labor (AMTSL)

  Once signs of placental separation are present, place one hand at the uterus applying firm pressure and the other hand will pull the cord in a straight traction for easier placental expulsion
• Active Management of Third Stage Labor (AMTSL)

  Ice pack is NO longer used
• Active Management of Third Stage Labor (AMTSL)

  Methergine will NOT be given because it can cause hypertension
