    • Seven SI base units:
      Mass - kg
      Length - metre
      Time - seconds
      Temperature - K (kelvin)
      Current - Amperes , A
      Amount of substance - mols
    • Tera, T - 10^12
    • Giga, G - 10^9
    • Mega, M - 10^6
    • Kilo, k - 10^3
    • Deci, d - 10^-1
    • Centi,c - 10^-2
    • Mili, m - 10^-3
    • Micro - 10^-6
    • Nano, n - 10^-9
    • Pico, p - 10^-12
    • accuracy is how close you are to the real value
    • Precision is how close the results are to each other
    • Random error is unpredictable:
Will affect the gradient of a graph
    • To reduce the effect of random errors take multiple measurements
    • Prefix to no prefix - multiply
No prefix to prefix - divide
    • Systematic error will affect all measurements by the same amount
-Will not affect the gradient of the graph but displace it
    • Absolute uncertainty of a data set = half of the range
    • Absolute uncertainty = smallest scale
    • % uncertainty = absolute uncertainty/value x 100
    • percentage uncertainty in gradient = best gradient - worst gradient/best gradient x 100
