Definitions

• Stem cells = Unspecialised cells of a multicellular organism, which are capable of giving rise to indefinitely more cells of the same type, and others which are specialised by differentiation
• Pluripotent = cells that can differentiate into most types of cells , but not all types. Divide by mitosis, no hayflix limit
• Totipotent = cells that can give rise to all types of cells,
