    Number of deliveries after age of viability (past 20 weeks)
  • G - gravidity
    T - term ( >37 weeks)
    P - preterm (<37 weeks)
    A - abortion ( <20 week)
    L - living (current living children)
  • Gravida
    Refers to a pregnant woman.
  • Nulligravida
    Is a woman who has never been pregnant.
  • Primigravida
    Is a woman who is pregnant for the first time.
  • Multigravida
    Is a woman in at least her second pregnancy.
  • Nullipara
    Is a woman who has not had a birth at more than 20 weeks of gestation.
  • Primipara
    Is a woman who has had one birth that occurred after the 20" week of gestation.
  • Multipara
    Is a woman who has had 2 or more pregnancies resulting in viableoffspring.
  • McDonald’s Rule is a guideline used in obstetrics to estimate the gestational age of a pregnancy based on the fundal height measurement.
  • Mcdonald's Rule
    Trimester: 2nd to 3rd
    Weeks: 20 to 31 weeks
    Example: 25 AOG = 25 cm
  • Bartholomew's Rule
    12 weeks - symphysis pubis
    20 weeks - umbilicus
    36 weeks - xiphoid process
