• Uses of Infared:

  • Heat lamps, remote controls
• Uses of Visible light:

  • Seeing, cameras, light
• Uses of Ultraviolet waves:

  • Sunbeds, detecting forged notes or ID
• Uses of X-rays:

  • medical use, security
• Uses of Gamma rays:

  • sterilisation, irradiation, treating tumours
• All Electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light.
• Shiny objects are poor emitters of Infared waves.
• Dull objects and black are better emitters of Infared waves.
• White is a poor emitter of Infared.
