  • White blood cells produce antibodies
  • Antibodies are specific to the antigen (of the pathogen)
  • Antibodies bind to the antigens
  • If infected, antibodies are produced quickly in larger numbers so white blood cells would kill live pathogens
  • No bacteria is in the animal
