ASSAULT

• An assault is defined as the apprahension of immediete unlawful force with intention or recklessness as to make the victim fear unlawful violence.
• The act of assault can be physical (Nelson), Words (Wilson), Written words (Constanza) or A phone call (Ireland)
• The apprahension of force should be that the victim feared the use of serious violence against them, as seen in R v Light.
