1.4 THE HUMAN PERSON

• Whether we like it or not, we live with, by, and for other people.
• We realized being a person means being by others
• It is not good for a man to be alone and he would make a helper suitable for him... Male and Female He created Them.


  Genesis 2:18
• Self-Consciousness - Can be understood as an awareness to oneself.
• Persons are conscious beings, aware of themselves in their outgoing acts.
• One becomes conscious when he/she becomes aware of the other person looking or staring at him/her
• The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is within the Spirit you have received from God. So glorify God in your body.

• Soul - According to Aristotle, is the grounding principle of sorts.
• Soul - Is the one thing that enables the body to engage in the necessary activities in life and they build upon one another
• Three types of Soul

  • Nutritive Soul
  • Sensitive Soul
  • Rational Soul
• Nutritive Soul - Also known as "Vegetative Soul"
• Nutritive Soul - A type of soul that is found in plants
• Sensitive Soul - Type of soul that is found on animals
• Rational Soul - A type of soul that gives humans the power of intellect and will
• Human beings is a body and a soul, according to plato.
• Transcendence - Is the existence that is present beyond normal or physical level.
