      -Little insight as Q structured, cant ask follow up Q
    • Semi-Structured
      List of pre set Q, interviewer free to ask follow up Q (job interviews usually semi-structured)
      +Increase validity of findings as P may be encouraged to be honest in ans thus reducing social desirability bias as have to justify views
      -Harder to analyse due to some unset Q
    • Unstructured
      New Qs developed during course of interview, begin with generalising and predetermined Q then Qs develop on basis of ans given, Interviewer encouraged to expand and elaborateon ans, like convo
      +More detailed info can be gained giving better insight/understanding
      +P may feel more relaxed and give more details.
      -Time consuming and expensive as req trained psychologist to administer
      -Statistical analysis can be hard to create.
