• The world emits 48% more carbon dioxide from the consumption of energy now than it did in 1992
• CO2 is the primary greenhouse gas released from human activities.
• CO2 acts like a blanket aand it traps heat
• The human activities that release the most CO2 are those that involve the burning of fossil fuels (coal, petrol, diesel, oil and natural gas)
• Possible actions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions:

  • Save electricity
  • Introduce stricter measures against excessive CO2 release
  • Create awareness of excessive release of CO2
  • Introduce incentives
