Causes of global warming

• Global warming is the increase in the earth's temperature as a result of an enhanced greenhouse effect
• The rise in temperature results in drastic climate changes
• During the last century, the average atmospheric temperature rose by about 0,6C
• It is estimated that by 2100 the atmospheric temperature will have increased by between 1,4 and 5,8C with severe adverse consequences for the environment
