Variables

• Variable - a factor or detail of an experiment
• Independent variable - the part of the experiment you control
• Dependant variable - the part of the experiment you measure
• Extraneous variable - factors that need to be controlled such as time of day
• Confounding variable - variables that aren’t controlled nor of interest but could get in the way of results
