The invasion of Price Louis

• Prince Louis landed on the south coast on 21st May 1216, his army including several French noblemen and 1200 knights
• Louis immediately retook Rochester castle and moved out to London and Winchester where he received great greetings
• Some of John’s closest supporters switched to the rebel side when they saw John would be defeated
