    • Behaviourist Approach

The study of observable behavior, focusing on the environment and learning through conditioning.
    • Classical Conditioning
A type of learning where a neutral stimulus is paired with an unconditioned stimulus to elicit an unconditioned response, leading to a conditioned response.
    • Pavlov's Experiment
A classical conditioning experiment where dogs were used to demonstrate the association between a neutral stimulus (bell ringing) and an unconditioned stimulus (food).
    • Operant Conditioning
A type of learning in which behavior is modified by its consequences, such as rewards or punishments.
    • Punishment
A consequence that decreases the probability of a behavior.
    • Positive Reinforcement
A type of operant conditioning where a behavior is followed by a pleasing or rewarding stimulus, increasing the likelihood of the behavior occurring again.
    • Negative Reinforcement
A type of operant conditioning where a behavior is followed by the removal of an unpleasant or aversive stimulus, increasing the likelihood of the behavior occurring again.
    • Association
The formation of a connection or link between two or more stimuli, objects, or events.
    • Skinner Box Experiment
A famous experiment conducted by B.F. Skinner to study operant conditioning and the effects of reinforcement on behavior.
