    1. The uterus lining thickens

    4. If sperm, egg is fertilised and sits in uterus lining to form foetus.
  • There are 4 Hormones in the Menstural Cycle:

    • FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
    • LH (Luteinising Hormone)
    • Oestrogen
    • Progesterone
  • (FSH) Follicle Stimulating Hormone causes the egg to mature.
  • LH (Luteinising Hormone) causes ovulation - egg to be released
  • Oestrogen and Progesterone are involved in maintaining the uterus lining.
  • Oestrogen causes the lining to grow
  • Progesterone maintains uterus lining and keeps it thick.
