Network Security Threats (Malware)

• Malware: Software that is designed to cause harm or damage to a computer.

  
• Trojan - Pretending to be legitmate software; so they are downloaded as if they are good., they dont replicate.
• Viruses - replicate themselves and attach to files and modify, delete or copy data.
• Worms - Self-replicate without user and spread through emails.
• Ransomware - Holding unauthorised data and in return get money for release.
• Spyware - Secretly monitoring user activicties.
