• Source of water pollution include: sewage, industrial waste, detergents and cleaning agents, runoff water, radioactive waste
• Possible actions to reduce wastage of water/save water:

  • Reduce leaking: improve management strategies, use of technology to reduce water pressure at night
  • Long term planning for new water schemes
  • Desalination of sea water or mine water
  • Create awareness of urgency of saving water
