  • Bacteria that causes salmonella food poisoning are spread by ingesting (eating) infected food - this is the kind of food prepared in unhygienic conditions
  • The bacteria secrete harmful chemicals called toxins, they cause the symptoms of salmonella
  • Symptoms: fever, abdominal cramps, vomitting, diarrhoea
• Gonorrhoea

  • Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD)
  • Symptom: thick yellow/green discharge
  • Can be prevented by: avoiding unsafe sex, barrier methods of contraception
