    Are different ways as to how information can be presented using WWW technologies.

    Static web pages and dynamic web pages.
  • What is static web pages?
    Type of web pages that displays the same content and it remains the same each time the page is loaded. Are cheaper and loads faster using HTML.
  • What is dynamic web pages?
    Are generated when they are loaded, as they appear differently to users so the content changes occasionally. It is harder to code as components are stored separately and are dynamically arranged.

    A downloadable audio file that can be listened to when convenient for the user.

    Simple to use and portable as users can choose what they want to listen. Are usually not live, meaning they can be edited and uploaded at a certain time.

    May be time consuming to record a podcast. Can be hard to attract an audience, as the podcast should be focused on a topic that interests people in an engaging way.

    Really simple syndication and it is a type of web feed that allows users to update web content when users subscribe to updates on their favourite websites.

    It involves small messages to be sent easily as a feed which updates whenever new content is added in the subscriber site. It is a Smart way of attracting customers to websites and retain current customers and users. It is read through an RSS feed reader software or on a website.

    It allows users to store online files in cloud storage. It is very convenient for users as it replaces basic portable storage devices such as USB sticks that allows users to store online files in cloud storage.

    Storing documents on Pc or cloud storage allows user to edit and access them from any location with an internet connection, and it allows collaborative working. It can therefore only be accessed with a internet connection, meaning files will be unavailable during maintenance or network failure so users must only rely on the cloud provider.

    Does not require data to be downloaded before use. Harder for users to share than a downloading file.

    Requires a high bandwidth so users may deal with poor performance issues or slower network. Needs consistent internet connection to stream.

    Used to share information with individuals who have the same hobbies or interest so anyone with like-minded individuals.

    A way of updating their customer base with what they have done or what they have been working on to keep customers up to date with development.

    Shares information with followers in the format of text, images and videos so can contain a range of information styles. Blogs can untie people with similar interest.

    Will be time consuming to create posts especially if videos need to be edited before posting. Potential customers could be lost if blogs are not updated regularly. Can be difficult to build up a customer base directly from a blog as posts must be engaging and correct.

    Can be used to provide information to a large amount of people almost instantly. A company may use an email to advertise new products, inform potential customers on a marketing promotion or target specific customers.

    Emails are almost instantaneous and cheaper to send compare to traditional letters. Files can be attached to the email such as images and videos. Can send emails to more than one person that can be read at the user's convenience and to any internet enabled devices around the world.
  • Give the disadvantages of using an email?
    Emails may automatically go into the spam which would be deleted without being read. An internet connection is required to open and read the email. Some attachments sent by email may be unreadable on different devices so larger attachments may not be open in a mobile device. Malware can also spread through email attachments as phishers use emails to gain access to personal information.
