An interview is a purposeful conversation that takes place between the
interviewer
and an
interviewee
or applicant
The main reason for an interview is to determine a candidate's suitability for a specific job
position
in an organisation or business.
Interviews may be held for other purposes such as
performance appraisals
or employees who are
exiting
the organisation.
