  • amount of data: the large amount of secondary data requires to be sorted out by the firm in order to meet their needs and must be done carefully which can be very time consuming
  • reliability: depending on the source, the data may or may not be reliable
  • specificity: data may not be specific to the needs of the business. if the business has a specific question; they are unlikely to find the answer
  • competitors have the same exact information
