Electrolysis Practical

Cards (3)

  • ELECTROLYSIS PRACTICAL

    1. Pour volume of copper chloride in beaker
    2. Place petri-dish with two holes on top
    3. Place two electrodes(rods) in holes
    4. Attach crocodile leads to rods
    5. Attach Power Supply
    6. Change Voltage to 4V
    7. Repeat with different solution.
  • The Electrodes are inert in electrolysis meaning they are unreactive.
  • The Electrode rods must NOT touch otherwise they will produce a short-circut.
