    agriculture ; sulphate are used as pesticides to kill insects
    medical treatment ; calcium sulphate is used as plaster to support broken bones
    industry ; silver bromide is used to make films and photographic paper
  • process of action of acids on insoluble bases
    1 - warm dilute sulfuric acid in a beaker, add copper oxide n stir until there’s excess copper oxide
    2 - filter contents in the beaker to remove excess n collect the filtrate
    3 - heat filtrate in evaporating dish
    4 - allow saturated copper sulfate solution to cool down to crystallise, dry crystals on filter paper
