Describe the coordination of a reflex action

Cards (1)

  • Describe the coordination of a reflex action:

A receptor detects a stimulus and generates an impulse. Neurones conduct impulses as the sensory neurone passes chemical information across a synapse to simulate an electrical impulse to the relay neurone which then goes to the motor neurone which then goes to the effector which causes the muscles to contract or a gland to secrete hormones
