Photosynthesis

Cards (4)

  • As the temperature increases the rate of photosynthesis increases until it reaches the optimum temperature. After this it decreases becasue photosynthesis is controlled by the enzyme. At low temperature, insufficient kinetic energy. After the optimum the enzyme begins to denature
  • As the CO2 increases so does the rate of photosynthesis. CO2 is a reactant for photosynthesis. If there is no increase in the second part of the graph it is because there is something else limiting the photosynthesis, eg light or temperature
  • As the light increases so does the photosynthesis. This is because light provides energy for photosynthesis to happen. If there is no increase in the second section of the graph it is because something is limiting the photosynthesis, eg carbon dioxide or temperature
  • Limiting factors in photosynthesis
    Temoertaure, light intensity, CO2 concentration
