• physical: how successful are groynes in controlling longshore drift in hunstanton?
• measured both each side of the groynes from the sand to the top of the groyne with a ruler
• systematic and stratified sampling as both wooden and rock groynes were measured
• the side of the groyne with the most sand shows us the direction of longshore drift, as sand has been trapped
• stone groynes were more successful than the wooden groynes at controlling longshore drift
• to improve - measure 5 points on each groyne and complete at different times of the year to compare
