Dendrite

• A tree- root shaped part of the neuron which are more shorter and numerous than axons
• They receive signals from other neurons and transmit electrical signals to the cell body
• They are covered in synapses to allow them to receive signals from thousands of other neuron
• Purkinje cells are found in the cerebellum and they have highly developed dendrites to receive signals from thousands of other neurons
